The theme for Black Beauty won an Ivor Novello Award and went on to be voted Britain's second most popular TV theme of all time. To date, Denis has composed the music for over 200 television series and has chosen 14 of his favourites on this CD.

As well as being a brilliant musician, Denis is also a witty anecdotalist, and the stories he tells are hilarious, poignant, and sometimes eyeopening.
Britain’s first boy band. Led by Denis, aged 13, on piano, with Michael on guitar and Tony on double bass, the King Brothers made their name on BBC television. A White Sport Coat And A Pink Carnation became their first hit ,more followed, with their biggest success Standing On The Corner in 1960, recorded on the Parlophone label at Abbey Road Studios.
